And it suddenly becomes imperative that I find a recipe for raw falafel.
What.
So after deciding to spend M/W/F raw, I’ve actually spent the entire past week eating all un-cooked food. In the interest of not wanting to go overboard and creating negative attitude toward cooked foods, I thought I should be less health-freakish today and live a little.
And so, “living a little” means that my friends and I will be drinking tea and whisky at 11:00 in the morning while going tobogganing between classes. This is what college is all about, folks.
If you are Canadian and haven’t gone drunk tobogganing at least once, you are doing your country a disservice.
Raw zucchini pasta! Recipe on my blog.
Raw Mediterranean Cauliflower Pate, on my blog :)
Go me :) I’m excited. I got this book “The Art of Raw Food” when I traded in some truly terrible YA novels I made the mistake of buying at our used book store. Tonight I plan to have for supper a recipe called “Middle Eastern Herbed Cauliflower”. Essentially, you just finely chop the cauliflower with a bunch of other veggies and some herbs, put some oil on it, and eat.
Is it strange that my supper is what I’m looking forward to most today?
If these raw experiments go well, and I get a bit more handy with raw cooking, I’ll look at going raw full-time. I don’t think I could ever go strictly 100% raw, though, because too many foods I love are cooked. Fried tofu. Coconut rice. Quinoa. Stir-fry. Sushi. Nachos. Pizza. Tempeh.
I’m hungry. And I still have a Spanish class and a tutorial to go before I can get home :(
In other news, I’m going to try and convince my parents to let me adopt a rabbit from the local shelter. I desperately need another living creature to cuddle with and my rescue dog is only just learning to like it when I scratch her ears, bless her little heart.
Pineapple Cabbage Salad
This seems like a really easy summer recipe, but I wonder if the combination of cabbage and pineapple would be good? I’ll have to find out.
Because then in my head I imagine Scooby-Doo saying it.
TTOOMMAATTTOOOEESSS. That is all.
The best visual representation of “No Homo!” in cinematic history.
